If you are compassionate and want to learn about managing cancer in dogs and cats (and helping their owners to make decisions and help their pets) then this job is for you as a team member in Hong Kong's longest-established full time oncology clinic. You will be working with Dr Kurt Verkest and his team of experienced VAs. We are looking for Oncology Team members who have passion for working with pets in the veterinary industry to fill the following positions.

Oncology Team Needs You

1) Veterinarian

  • 1-3 years of GP experience;
  • Case assessment;
  • Treatment planning (Surgery, definitive chemotherapy, adjunctive treatment);
  • Chemotherapy decision making;
  • Surgical oncology principles;
  • Surgical oncology practice;
  • Cytology skills;
  • Staging, imaging (especially CT and ultrasound), and related skills;
  • Palliative care planning and implementation;
  • You will have access to excellent clinical facilities with great lay staff to assist you;
  • Overseas applicants will receive support with registration in Hong Kong.

2) Veterinary Technician / Assistant

Job Description:

  • Supporting Veterinary Surgeons;
  • Nursing care of animals;
  • Client communication and decision making;
  • Assisting with chemotherapy drug administration;
  • Quality of life assessment;
  • Palliative and supportive care (managing pain, nausea, nutrition, feeding tubes, continence, mobility, etc);
  • CT machine operation;
  • Clinical trial support;
  • Assist with general inquiries.


  • At least three years of clinical experience in a veterinary hospital required;
  • Cantonese language skills an advantage but not essential;
  • Certificate in veterinary nursing / relevant studies is an advantage;
  • Genuine love and care for animals is essential;
  • Excellent customer services skills;
  • Self-motivated, independent and good interpersonal skills required.
