Internship at Pets Central (Mong Kok)

Intern required to work mainly with internalist (MACVSc '98) and / or Oncologist (MACVSc '00) at Pets Central Mong Kok. Applicants would be required to make up for lack of experience with an abundance of enthusiasm and passion for good quality, evidence-based, sensible and directed medicine. Fluency in Cantonese and English is essential.

Supervising clinician's caseloads are 90% referral and second opinion oncology, internal medicine, cardiology, ultrasound and dermatology, with a small amount of long term client general practice.

The role would initially involve assisting the clinician's with case handling, client communication (particularly Cantonese speakers), basic examination and treatment, with a transition gradually to primary consulting and case management (with appropriate support).

The position represents a great opportunity for a young clinician to develop a very strong base for the rest of their career in practical, problem-based medicine, from the basics of the hands on physical exam to more advanced medical and surgical procedures.

Reporting to the Senior Veterinarian, the incumbent will provide veterinary service for over 500 species of marine mammals and terrestrial mammals, including fish, birds, pandas, dolphins, pinnipeds, and other exotic animals in the Park. About the role:

Help provide exceptional Customer service queries handling, primarily in English, by email and phone

Contacting veterinary offices to obtain necessary veterinary records or book health certificate clinic appointments on behalf of clients and their pets.

Maintaining contact with clients prior to their move to answer questions, tracking progress for timely follow-up, handle import & export documents, review vet documents, and schedule pickup and delivery times. Assist smooth logistics operations.

Administration in supporting the team on day-to-day activities

Office location is in Pak Tam Chung. Work hours 8am – 5pm five days a week.

Requirements:
