CityU Veterinary Medical Centre (VMC) offers a comprehensive range of services for small animals and is a valuable resource for pet owners across Hong Kong. Joining VMC, you will have the unique opportunity to collaborate with a diverse team of specialists in various fields, including Cardiology, Dermatology, Dentistry, Diagnostic Imaging, Emergency and Critical Care, Internal Medicine, Neurology, Surgery, Oncology, Ophthalmology, Anesthesiology, and Pain Management, as well as experienced Primary Care and Emergency clinicians. Additionally, VMC is fully staffed with highly trained nurses and technicians.

1. Senior Officer/ Officer, Client Relations and Growth

Main Duties & Requirements:

  • Handle incoming calls, emails, and inquiries related to appointment bookings, referrals, and clinic services
  • Schedule, confirm, and optimize appointment bookings, maintaining accurate and up-to-date client and patient records
  • Coordinate referral processes with external veterinarians and clinics, ensuring seamless communication, and following up on referrals and ensuring continuity of care
  • Greet clients and patients warmly upon arrival, providing a welcoming environment and managing the reception area
  • Support clinic marketing efforts by informing clients about veterinary wellness plans, seasonal promotions, loyalty programs, and new services

Qualifications:

  • Higher Diploma or above in any discipline
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in customer service, familiarity with veterinary clinics is an advantage
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively
  • Capable of working efficiently under pressure
  • Candidates with more experience may be considered for senior role


2. Head of Nursing / Manager, Nursing

Main Duties & Requirements:

  • Coordinate and monitor day-to-day clinical nursing operations to ensure smooth functioning and high standards of care.
  • Collaborate with the Medical Director to uphold clinical support standards and drive continuous improvement.
  • Assess operation needs and make decisive decisions regarding caseload and resource allocation.
  • Manage rostering and staffing needs of GP, ER/ICU, and Wards support teams, and implement dynamic changes based on workload and workflow.
  • Develop strategies to improve hospital coverage through effective resource allocation and a strategic critiquing of zones and department needs.
  • Participate in regular senior leadership meetings and meet regularly with the Executive Director and operational subcommittees to align nursing and clinical support services with hospital goals.
  • Build strong, positive relationships with different stakeholders including veterinarians, Customer Service team, clinical support team to understand their service needs and enhance support staff collaboration.
  • Assist with the integration of clinical teaching rotations, ensuring staff participation while maintaining clinical service delivery.
  • Cooperate with HR team in providing development and retention of nursing staff, establish career ladders and development strategies, conduct annual performance reviews and participate in recruitment process for new talents.
  • Provide support to the clinical operation on ad hoc tasks and projects as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Holder of professional education background and qualifications in veterinary nursing or healthcare or health services discipline is preferred
  • Proven leadership experience, managing departments and large clinical teams, not limited to veterinary field
  • Exceptional collaboration and team building skills, including high level of emotional intelligence.
  • Strong leadership mindset and exceptional interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated coaching and mentoring ability
