We are currently looking for an enthusiastic vet to join the small but friendly team at our GP clinic in Tin Hau and would consider a full time or locum role.

We welcome candidates with either a medical or surgical bias or indeed those that just enjoy doing a bit of everything. Surgical caseload is predominantly desexing, dentals and other routine soft tissue surgeries that fall within your comfort level. We are open to supporting and expanding any clinical special interests you may have. We do not currently hospitalize cases overnight and so there is no after-hours or night work involved.

We see some exotics, the majority being exotic small mammals, and so a level of comfort with such cases is preferred, though not essential.

We have the usual diagnostic equipment for a small GP clinic, consisting of In-house lab (Idexx and Abaxis), CR Xray, Mindray ultrasound, Tonovet tonometry.

We are a small clinic but pride ourselves on having a close and honest relationship with our client base. We constantly aim to improve the services we offer and welcome input on how best to do this from all our staff. Our appointment slots are 30 minutes and so you will have the time to do a thorough job without having to rush.

The right candidate is encouraged to manage their own cases and will not be micromanaged or forced to follow cookie-cutter treatment plans.

We are an independent practice under new ownership and are keen to find the right person who wishes to grow with the clinic in a safe and friendly environment.

• Fresh graduates with DSE or above are welcome
• Proficient in Chinese typing and basic computer operations

Veterinary Clinical Programme Manager in the Jockey Club College of Veterinary Medicine and Life Sciences [Ref. R/253/25]

The Jockey Club College of Veterinary Medicine and Life Sciences offers a globally recognised six-year Bachelor of Veterinary Medicine (BVM) programme, which achieved full accreditation with the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons (RCVS) and the Australasian Veterinary Boards Council (AVBC) in 2023. The BVM programme is delivered by a vibrant team of faculty and clinical educators in our two departments, Department of Veterinary Clinical Sciences and Department of Infectious Diseases and Public Health. The BVM programme features small cohort sizes (up to 50 students per year) with all teaching conducted in English.

Our veterinary students benefit from exceptional resources and state-of-the-art facilities, including the Clinical Skills Laboratory, Pathobiology Laboratory, Dairy Farm, Surgery and Anaesthesia Suite and Necropsy Suite. We are seeking an accomplished veterinary clinician to join our team as Veterinary Clinical Programme Manager, where you will lead the delivery of our BVM clinical teaching programme, ensuring students develop the skills and confidence to excel as omni-competent veterinarians.

Duties

1. Support the Dean and Assistant Dean (BVM Teaching & Learning) to effectively deliver clinical teaching at partner sites.
2. Cultivate and maintain excellent relationships with external stakeholders that support the BVM programme, including external clinical placement providers and veterinarians in diverse settings such as in private practice, government veterinarians and the Hong Kong Jockey Club.
3. Co-ordinate an annual Partner Practice Conference to provide continuing professional development to veterinarians in Hong Kong that support the BVM programme through hosting students on extramural studies placements;
4. Schedule student clinical rotations at partner hospitals and training facilities.
5. Perform annual inspections of partner sites to ensure accreditation compliance;

1. A veterinary degree recognised for registration as a veterinary surgeon in Hong Kong;

1. Veterinarian Specialist in Neurology

As a Veterinarian Specialist in Neurology, you will play a critical role in diagnosing and treating neurological conditions in our animal patients. Your expertise will allow you to provide advanced medical care, ensuring that each pet receives the personalized treatment they need.

Responsibilities

• Perform thorough neurological examinations and assessments to diagnose disorders.

5. Dispenser

Responsibilities:

• Accurately and efficiently prepare and dispense vaccines and medications according to prescriptions. 
• Maintain detailed records of all prescriptions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with veterinary regulations. 
• Monitor and oversee vaccine, medication, and medical supply stocks to maintain optimal levels in the veterinary hospital dispensary, ensuring that all necessary items are readily available for patient care. 
• Accurately pre-pack, assemble, and label medications for use within the hospital and for client pick-up. 
• Demonstrate an understanding of pharmaceutics, drug therapeutics, and system pharmacology to ensure safe and effective medication management. 
• Ensure cleanliness and organization of the dispensing area.

Requirements:

• 2-3 years of dispensing or nursing experience in the veterinary industry.
• A Higher Diploma in Dispensing Studies or relevant certifications is a significant advantage.
• Strong understanding of pharmaceutical chemistry and basic pharmacology.
• Experience and knowledge of dispensing techniques and standards in a hospital or veterinary setting are preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.

Pet Cares Professional Veterinary Services is a progressive, integrative, 24-hour practice with 5 vets and a great client base located in Tai Po, New Territories.

We are currently seeking a suitable, experienced vet to join our team with the successful applicant;

• Being able to work full-time
• Relevant clinical experience in companion animal practice (competent new graduates will be considered)
