Positions Vacant

We are currently looking for an enthusiastic vet to join the small but friendly team at our GP clinic in Tin Hau and would consider a full time or locum role.

We welcome candidates with either a medical or surgical bias or indeed those that just enjoy doing a bit of everything. Surgical caseload is predominantly desexing, dentals and other routine soft tissue surgeries that fall within your comfort level. We are open to supporting and expanding any clinical special interests you may have. We do not currently hospitalize cases overnight and so there is no after-hours or night work involved.

We see some exotics, the majority being exotic small mammals, and so a level of comfort with such cases is preferred, though not essential.

We have the usual diagnostic equipment for a small GP clinic, consisting of In-house lab (Idexx and Abaxis), CR Xray, Mindray ultrasound, Tonovet tonometry.

We are a small clinic but pride ourselves on having a close and honest relationship with our client base. We constantly aim to improve the services we offer and welcome input on how best to do this from all our staff. Our appointment slots are 30 minutes and so you will have the time to do a thorough job without having to rush.

The right candidate is encouraged to manage their own cases and will not be micromanaged or forced to follow cookie-cutter treatment plans.

We are an independent practice under new ownership and are keen to find the right person who wishes to grow with the clinic in a safe and friendly environment.

To arrange an informal chat to discuss opportunities, please send an email with your CV to drjames@dhvh.vet or whatsapp to 9136 1711

Introduction: Hong Kong Veterinary Specialty Services – Peripatetic Surgical Support

Dear Colleagues,

We are pleased to introduce Hong Kong Veterinary Specialty Services, a dedicated mobile veterinary surgical service providing advanced specialist-level surgical support to clinics throughout Hong Kong.

Our service allows your clinic to offer complex surgical procedures on-site, enabling you to retain cases, strengthen client confidence, and expand the scope of care you provide—without the need for external referral.

We currently provide services across Hong Kong Island, Kowloon, Sha Tin, Tai Wai, Tai Po, Yuen Long, and surrounding areas.

Our surgical services include:

  • Oncology surgery – tumour assessment, surgical planning, and excision. Pre-operative CT scan options are available prior to surgery at your facility
  • Orthopaedic surgery – fracture repair and other complex orthopaedic procedures
  • Soft tissue surgery – advanced abdominal, thoracic, and reconstructive procedures
  • Neurosurgery – MRI assessment followed by surgery performed at your practice at an affordable cost
  • Surgical emergencies – same-day assessment and surgical support available where possible

Our Pet Ambulance service can assist with patient collection, advanced imaging at a partnering facility, and subsequent surgery performed at your clinic.

We also work with a network of affiliated veterinary nurses who can help organise overnight nursing support when required.

By bringing experienced surgical expertise directly to your practice, we help reduce stress for patients and clients, improve continuity of care, and support your team in managing challenging cases with confidence and efficiency.

We provide all required surgical equipment, anaesthetic equipment, and support staff as needed. We work collaboratively within your clinic, using your facilities while ensuring clear communication, detailed case documentation, and reliable follow-up.

Your clinic remains the primary care provider at all times, with post-operative care and client communication continuing under your direction unless otherwise agreed.

If you are looking to expand your in-house surgical capabilities, manage more complex or urgent cases, or offer clients access to advanced surgery without referral, we would be delighted to support your practice.

Please feel free to contact us to discuss case suitability, emergency availability, or how our mobile surgical service can best meet your clinic’s needs.

You may also visit our website at www.hkvetspecialist.com or contact us directly at hkvetspecialists@outlook.com or via WhatsApp: +852 5995 3070.
