Who we are looking for:
We are looking for an enthusiastic and caring small animal vet to join our amazing night team - either solely on night shift, or on rotation (a few months on day shift then a few months on night shift).

  • Experience of minimum 2 years is required, but we will consider younger candidates with Emergency and Critical Care experience.
  • Previous knowledge of exotics is not needed, as we will provide comprehensive training in exotics emergency medicine and surgery.
  • Knowledge of Cantonese is an advantage – but not necessary - as the team can speak English and your nurses will translate for you.

  • Provide emergency and critical care to small animals, and exotics during scheduled shifts

VEC is offering a one-year internal medicine specialty internship led by Dr. ST Koo. The intern will have primary case responsibilities and see their own appointments weekly.

Didactic training will be provided with monthly book clubs, journal clubs and presentations. The intern will be expected to deliver a presentation on a topic of choice quarterly to other clinicians and peers. Continuing education allowances will be provided for CE events or professional conferences. Academic publication is encouraged and will be supported.

Job Requirements:

  • The applicant must have a strong interest in the Small Animal Internal Medicine specialty. Although ample didactic training, guidance, and support will be provided, it is expected that the successful candidate will proactively learn and deliver patient and client care without prompting
