Liver disease is a significant and common disease in our patients. In this seminar, we will discuss the complexities of liver disease through a discussion on the pathophysiology of liver disease.

Based on these processes, we will then focus on diagnostic and treatment options. Effective management of liver disease involves a multifaceted approach.

The aim of this lecture is to provide comprehensive insights into liver disease and jaundice management.


Speaker Biography


Dr. Joshua Steinhaus
MS, BVMS, DACVIM, DECVIM-CA

Dr. Joshua Steinhaus is an American and European board-certified Small Animal Internal Medicine Specialist. Following his internship and residency training, he did an intensive 1-year fellowship training program in Interventional Radiology and Endoscopy at the Animal Medical Center in New York. He is the only veterinarian in Asia to complete a fellowship in Interventional Radiology and Endoscopy. During his time at the Animal Medical Center, he was trained by two of the founding veterinarians, Drs. Allyson Berent and Chick Weisse, in Interventional Techniques. In addition to this training, he has also pursued further training in urology through the University of California–Davis and its Hemodialysis Academy. He is also the current IRIS Ambassador to Hong Kong.
