Acute pancreatitis is a common disease in feline patients, often with vague and non-specific clinical signs. Acute pancreatitis may also be present with concurrent diseases, such as diabetes mellitus, acute kidney injury, or gastrointestinal diseases. This can further complicate the diagnostic process and make treatment more challenging.

In this seminar, we will provide a review of the current standard of care, and introduce the workflow and tools for managing feline acute pancreatitis:

  1. Review of feline acute pancreatitis
  2. Diagnostic tools for acute pancreatitis
  3. Suggested workflow with Catalyst Pancreatic Lipase Test
  4. Principles of managing common concurrent diseases with case examples
