Acupuncture is a branch of Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine that has evolved over thousands of years and is used worldwide to prevent and treat disease in animals. While acupuncture is well known in its ability to alleviate pain, there is evidence-based medicine showing that acupuncture can successfully be used to treat many diseases and conditions. While it can be used as a sole treatment modality, it is also a very useful tool when integrated with conventional medicine to help improve treatment outcomes and improve the quality of life of animals.
In this seminar, we will provide an introduction to the key principles of acupuncture and provide clinical applications of its uses, including case examples.
